You managed to arrange locations that would have been extremely difficult to get in South Africa. Your choice of crew was excellent and you worked well with them. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of organization. Your commitment to our project was outstanding and I felt secure knowing that you had all the elements of the production in hand. Your attention to detail was good and it was great that your menu catered for South African tastes… Well done it was a good experience!”

Wish I could work with you on more projects...one day I know this will happen”
Laszlo Bene, Director and Owner, Mind Fox Productions, South Africa
(Laszlo was the series director of the Gulder Ultimate Search 9 & 10, where Olakunle was the producer on the project).
“My name is Laszlo Bene. I am an American producer/director working in South Africa. I directed two seasons of GUS with Olakunle as a producer of the show. I can safely say that working with him was one of the most rewarding experiences in my career. Kunle's knowledge and expertise of the television business is second to none. He runs an amazingly tight and smooth operation where everything moves as efficiently as a Hollywood production (and I have produced over a dozen features in Hollywood). But besides all these, what I loved about him most is how he takes care of his cast and crew. He is a father figure to everyone and during every phase of the production he ensures that everyone is safe, well-protected, well-supported and well-taken care of. He is always cheerful and keeps the moral of even the most difficult shoots high. As a director one can not ask for more that that. Integrity, humanity, professionalism with a smile - this is Kunle; my dear friend and colleague. I can only wish that I have the privilege of working with him again in the future.”
Deon Maas, Television Script Writer, Print Journalist / Founding Owner, Meerkat Media, South Africa
(Deon was the foreign writer on Gulder Ultimate Search, where Olakunle was the Producer on the project).
“Mr. Oyeneye is a general that I like to go to war with. He knows when to feed the troops and kick their butts. He also knows what to do to make them braver than the opponent. He knows when to move forward and when to wave the white flag. He knows how to get the results that everyone wants whilst staying a hero. The wounded gets treated with kindness and those who caused the wound is wrapped over the knuckles in private to defend their honour. I just hate those night attacks when his huge smile makes him an easy target ….”
Yomi Layinka, Managing Director/Executive Producer, The Yomi Layinka Company, Nigeria
(Yomi was the executive producer on most Globacom Televison and MTN advert, where Olakunle report direct as the production manager on the projects).
“Olakunle Oyeneye has been one of the most professional and dependable colleagues that I have been blessed with in my career as a Producer/Director and especially in the my management of international production projects. I started working with Kunle as a video editor before he became a production manager and producer; his working relationship may be professionally exacting but he manages to maintain a respectful and cordial demeanor with colleagues at all times. No wonder, he is very highly regarded in the Nigerian television industry.”
Johan Naude, Director, Gulder Ultimate Search 6 and 7, Celebrity showdown- TV Reality

When issues arise he acts quickly and efficiently to resolve it. He is also brilliant at motivating and inspiring a crew to new heights. I really enjoyed working with him.”
Tunde Kelani, Producer/Director, Mainframe Productions
(TK was the director of ARUGBA- a yoruba movie, where Olakunle was the supervising editor on the project).
"You remain a shining example of positive human values, good character, humility and cheerfulness, resourcefulness, all in short supply in today's desperate world. To me, you are a success story and a hope for the future generation"
Marc Brower, Director/Cinematographer, South Africa

“Don’t be misled by his slight frame, Kunle is a giant of a man, a natural leader who doesn’t suffer fools. Passionate about life, his family and film family. Kunle has a smile as big as his heart and is respected by all who are fortunate enough to work with him. I have directed several TV reality shows with Kunle as Exec in charge of Production and Post Production for Jungle Filmworks and am grateful to have had the continuous all round backups. I am in awe of Kunle’s energy and dedication. Kudos to a force in the Nigerian Film and TV industry”
Simon Ratcliffe, Head Audio Engineer and Director, Sound and Motion Studios, South Africa
(Simon was the audio broadcast engineer on Star Quest Season 1-4 and Maltina Dance All Season 1 - 3, where Olakunle was the producer on the project).
"I have had the pleasure of working with Kunle Oyeneye on numerous productions and I have always felt the same way: Nigeria can be a challenging environment for live TV broadcast but Kunle always maintained not only an enthusiasm that was infectious, but mutual respect and friendship. The well fair of the crew is something that can be easily overlooked, but if you had an issue you simply couldn't solve on your own, I've always felt Kunle would go the extra mile both as a producer and as a friend to help make your life and your job a little easier. In short, Kunle is first and foremost a professional, but more than that one who inspires by building relationships"
Simon Gooden, Digital Producer, Ventra Group, United Kingdom
(Simon was the digital producer on Gulder Ultimate Search Season 11, where Olakunle was the producer on the project).
"As an expat arriving in Nigeria for the first time, I was told to locate Kunle as soon as I arrived on GUS. I had no idea what to expect, but on meeting Kunle for the first time, my first impression was his enormous and welcoming smile !
Arriving on such a huge production as GUS is quite an overwhelming experience but Kunle made it clear that I was to have his full support and assistance. He was true to his word and when my laptop malfunctioned he kindly lent me his personal computer for the duration, for which I am eternally grateful.
But under this warm smile lies an steely professionalism that ensures the job gets done. Having Kunle on set is like having a fire breathing dragon waiting in the wings, and on two occasions I was to see the dragon breathing fire. Luckily I was not on the end of it but, I can tell you, when a production is in danger of slipping behind, Kunle is the man to reign it back in.
Simply put, Kunle is a consummate professional with the charm, experience and balls to run a huge production like GUS. I look forward to working with him again soon.
